Last year Sleek Magazine gave you exclusive coverage on London’s newest art fair, Art13 London, and returning once again for 2014, Art14 London is back bigger and even better than before.
Opening this Friday 28th February until Sunday 2nd March 2014, Art14 London welcomes over 180 galleries from 42 countries to London’s Olympia Grand Hall, with a specific emphasis being placed on contemporary and modern art coming from regions such as the Middle East, Asia and Africa. However, Art14 London has set its sights high, and will also be featuring established and emerging artists from cities such as Berlin, Beijing, Dubai, Buenos Aires, Mumbai and Säo Paulo.
Fair Director, Stephanie Dieckvoss, is eager to increase the geographical spread of the countries represented. “The fair is growing organically so visitors and collectors will have a more comprehensive experience in discovering works of art from around the globe.”
As well as boasting a long list of international artists, Art14 London will also have two curated sections, London First and Emerge. London First will see 16 young galleries who have not exhibited at an art fair in london before, with one of the galleries, Black Ship from New York, showing Deutsche Börse photography prize winner, Cristina de Middel’s “Afronauts” series. Emerge, advised by the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds, will see 15 international galleries showcasing emerging artists from around the world.
For three lucky Sleek Magazine readers, we are giving the chance to win tickets to this exciting young art fair. All you need to do is email get@sleekmag.com! Good luck!
