Beneath the grey skies of Berlin, amidst the hundreds of fashion week goers, something special happened on Tuesday afternoon in the Nolan Judin Gallery. Augustin Teboul are this cities’ answer to fashion that oozes a timeless, yet incredibly modern, beauty, with their pieces executed with exquisite attention to the finest of details.
Tuesday saw the Berlin label unveil a collection that once again combined decadent design with wearable elements, bits of glitz and delicate detailing carefully placed over severe yet structured forms. The feel of hand crafted labor oozed from every stitch with knit work, lace, tulle, velvet, sequins, leather, and flashes of nude and beige colour were a first for the designer duo who usually exclusively only use black. But the designers did not forget their performative flair which fashion lovers around the world have come to love, with models doning elaborate headpieces and what could only be described as facial “necklaces”.
To celebrate the unveiling of their AW14/15, Augustin Teboul teamed up with the Impossible Project, a polaroid project which combines the ease of digital with a love for analogue, to photograph their Fashion Week Diary. Documenting the days leading up to the show right the way up to last model on the runway, every moment of preparation and to the very last sequin, Sleek Magazine are proud to present in a Sleek exclusive, Augustin Teboul’s Fashion Week Diary.
