Germany’s most playful men’s clothing designer is taking a shot at photography in a new e-book entitled “Dynasty”. For his first foray into digital publishing via Badlands, Bernhard Willhelm utilises his famously humorous approach towards art to create 92 pages of voyeuristic fun comparable to the work of contemporaries such as Wolfgang Tillmans. Through “Dynasty” the Royal Academy of Fine Arts graduate documents his sometimes mundane but never dull Southern California existence, including the food he eats and the porn magazines he “reads” to provide a candid portrait of daily life.
