Caitlin Price is no stranger to Fashion East, having previously presented collections with the non-profit initiative twice. This season, however, marks the young designer’s first year on their runway. With a series of looks that serve to celebrate the night, Price offers an AW16 collection that splices barely-there dresses with baggy sportswear. The outfits are meant to invoke the sense of “holding it together” club-goers feel after a long night out. Serving as a deep exploration of Price’s adolescent notions of sophistication, silk and mohair are respectively paired with polyester and faux fur to create an artificial sense of luxury.
