Next Thursday on 3 November, the global launch of the “The Carhartt WIP Archives Book” will be taking place at Koenig Gallery in Berlin. In addition to the party, there’s also an exhibition curated by ILL STUDIO and a live broadcast of an international DJ line up.
Explore the future of Carhartt WIP through the last 25 years with the “WORK IN PROGRESS” Exhibition displayed on the first floor, and celebrate the launch of the Archives Book, a documentary of Carhartt WIP’s close connections with various creative scenes and subcultures; from Detroit to Berlin, Paris to Tokyo—and beyond, in the installation space on the ground floor accompanied by music from NTS Radio Booth.
The book which will be available to purchase from 4 November, includes narratives from a range of the brand’s frequent collaborators and selection of cultural figures as well as three essays exploring the brand’s iconic history. Highlights to look forward to include images of Carhartt’s journey from the very beginning with iconic styles and items that are no longer produced, as well as portraits of the hip hop community that brought Carhartt clothing to the streets in the Nineties. We can’t wait to flick through the book’s selection of never before seen content featuring musicians, artists and collaborations that have made the label what is today.
