Here’s what the internet has been saying about the Clueless reboot

After nearly an entire year of wondering about the rumoured Clueless reboot, yesterday was a big day for all lovers of ’90s nostalgia as an announcement was made regarding the project. What is arguably one of the greatest American teen films of recent history, will be re-made, not as a film as was expected, but as a dramatic mystery series, with Cher Horowitz’s best friend Dionne taking centre stage. According to Deadline, the reboot will be “a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latté and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when the high school queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong No. 2 Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans.” Okay. 

Now, we don’t know about you, but we’re not quite sure how we feel about the beloved 1995 classic remade into what sounds like an erratic spin-off series, one which seems to be going down a dubious ‘dark’ route. Not being ones to make assumptions without first conducting thorough research however, we took to Twitter to see what the internet had to say about all this:
