London-based experimental women’s streetwear brand Aries have launched a new book called “Click to Buy”. The zine-like book was created by David Sims, a British fashion photographer who made his name working for i-D and The Face, and graphic designer, Palace logo creator and long-time Aries collaborator Fergus Purcell, aka the “Fergadelic”.
“Click to Buy” features Sim’s images all styled by Jane How, juxtaposed with gritty graphics from Purcell. Influences for the project are varied; however, the 80s acid house raver mood is very prominent in the photographs – girls peek out from behind doors, or chill in their bedrooms, and Arnold Schwarzenegger makes an appearance. The book will be presented in Milan at the Slam Jam in Via Lanza 1 at a special event.
