DENNIS BUCK x ASICS SPS

Red, black and gold, flowing silicone lines and “Buck Buck” on the heels: the new limited edition for Asics bears the signature of the renowned Dennis Buck, and will be auctioned for a charity.

Painter, fashion designer, silicone sculptor, the multidisciplinary artist has an affection for fashion in his own peculiar way and quickly became interested in 3D printing, thanks to which his signature material, silicone, takes the form of clothing. Half artwork, half fashion accessory, his creations turn out to be handbags and now sneakers, customised in an artisanal way with signature details and long lasting materials.

The artist envisions his playful, optimistic and ironic art as a catharsis. For Buck, “making art helps me to be a more balanced person, it puts the mind at peace.”

"Making art helps me to be a more balanced person, it puts the mind at peace."

“Peace of mind” is an essential precept for the Japanese brand Asics, which enshrines it in its name: Anima Sana In Corpore Sano (ASICS) is an old Latin expression for “A Sound mind in A Sound body”. Art and sport are at the same time a natural dopamine booster, a therapy and a state of being, and this is the idea that the brand wants to associate itself with this collaboration.

50 pairs of GEL-KAYANOTM 14, ASICS SportStyle’s iconic bestseller customised by Dennis Buck will be on sale at the VooStore in Berlin from Friday 25th June and all proceeds will be donated to the foundation Deutsche Depressionshilfe

Art, just like sport, makes you dream, animates, gives life. Any interest in experiencing it, a pair of Asics x Dennis Buck on your feet ?
