In celebration of their unrelenting, eclectic punk spirit, Dr Martens have collaborated with Futura Laboratories to bring us two innovative reworks of the iconic 1460 boot. This capsule pays homage to the rich graffiti scene through the illustrious Futura 2000 – a pioneer of abstract, forward-thinking street art, whose work has continued to influence creatives ever since he emerged in 70s New York.

Comprising two new iconic 1460 styles, this capsule collection embodies both Futura 2000 and Dr Martens’ forward-thinking approach to design. The 1460 EMB FUTURA is a nod to the artist’s roots. This style brings the classic all-black Nappa leather boot to life through a white, embroidered graffiti-style lettering. Meanwhile, the 1460 FUTURA takes an alternative approach in regards to the silhouette’s design. This style sees an olive woven fabric along with a smooth leather buckle closure on the ankle, incorporating a tonal “FUTURA LABORATORIES” detailing. Focusing on movement and versatility, through the eclecticism of Dr Martens, this style is a nod to the brand’s previous Tract collection.
