For his AW16 collection at Paris Fashion Week, Dries Van Noten told a fabulous story about a third generation tailor and his passion to create relaxed luxurious looks. Fitted blazers layered with military oversized coats, cropped pants paired with tapered trousers created a dramatic fashion juxtaposition. His trademark sophisticated street wear featured luscious textiles, including velvet, some adorned with peacock-inspired embroidery. These were complemented with fur trimmings and tasselled shoes for an eclectic collection that melded psychedelic Jugendstil with uniform minimalism.
