Mark Fast is presenting his designs in a series of videos and stills capturing easiness. Watching the videos feels like starting off with into better days, days of new beginnings celebrating the first days of summer with your friends. Someone bought an old rusty car but its tape player brings old records back to life, you meet your first love and the smell of sunscreen and salt fills the air. We all know what it feels like to be young and without worries.
The designs marry 80s with 90s styles and combine washed-out denim pieces with neon graffiti prints. Typical 90s and early 2000s typography geometry appears on dresses, shoes and t-shirts. Knitting techniques often associated with elderly -ish fashion and christmas socks create a surprisingly fresh look. Mark Fast knows how to give knitwear a new lobby and excite young people with materials and new interpretations of traditional coziness. Far from your grandpa’s old, woolly sweaters, Mark Fast creates a light and breezy look., breaking down any hesitation towards knitwear.
Mark Fast couture styles uses domestic knitting machines creating knitted sculptures and allowing human bodies to transform into any shape. But he is not just the creator of Haute Couture fashion. He also knows how to make everyday items. His new designs are flattering, body hugging and a fascinating mixture of tradition and streetwear.
In his choice of models, Mark Fast chose a very diverse cast to represent his celebration of youth and urban culture. The models are friends hanging out. Their easy-going chemistry injects us with unconditional happiness and isn’t that just the greatest knit-fit.
