As a brand synonymous with its famous FF logo, it was only a matter of time before Fendi would take its logomania next level. Teaming up with heritage sportswear brand Fila and Instagram artist @hey_reilly to create an ironic Fendi/Fila logo, the Roman fashion house launched a new monogram-mad streetwear capsule collection Fendi Mania, hitting stores today.
With a launch video starring “it-girls” Dilone and Adwoa Aboah – riding a bike in high heeled boots, no less — against the backdrop of London’s iconic Battersea Power Station, and flanked with young boys clad in Fendi Mania break-dancing, this inspired collection has got its feet planted firmly in urban streetwear. Taking its cues from the sportswear label’s classic colour palette, Fendi Mania presents western-inspired — think heeled cowboy boots and fringing — as well as sportswear pieces in amber, black and white. Key pieces include padded jackets, sneakers, tracksuits trousers, backpacks, and football match-worthy logofied scarves. White leather bombers and streamlined jumpsuits give off Formula 1 vibes, whereas the western details are motorcycle gang-ready. Whatever the inspiration, we’ll be flying a Fendi flag in support.
