Juun.J x Josh Luke “The Global Popup Project”
As part of “The Global Popup Project”, Korean-based designer Juun.J is collaborating with American artist Josh Luke. Exclusive T-shirts, caps, and sweatshirts express the duo’s aesthetic of youthful streetwear meeting with high fashion. The emphasis on lettering in the collection comes from Luke’s background in creating signs – and their gold leaf finish is a trademark. Simple in form, yet luxurious in application
“Juun.J and I have similar ideas about our craft — we both rely heavily on the traditions of the trade and use classic designs in our work, but we’re also both trying to push the boundaries of our respective crafts and make them more contemporary or even futuristic, ” said Luke of the collaboration.
The popup shops selling the capsule collection reach from L’Eclaireur in Paris, to Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles to Marais in Melbourne. The collection is also available online from Ssense and on Juun.J’s website.
