With Spring raising its head early over the city of Berlin, we can’t think of a better time to get into the spirit of all things spring and bring out the prints.
Farah Vintage’s SS14 collection, “Tribal Trailblazer”, is a hot mash up of African prints, bold colours, and luscious camouflage pattern, with inspiration being taken from the Dandy Sapeurs of the Congo and their expression of creativity through their outfitting. Merging the inspiration of the Congo with the brands roots that lie deep within the Mod and Skinhead subcultures of the 80’s, the collection is as street as it is edgy, an exciting new take on classic British heritage design.
Perhaps the most stand out item in this collection is the re-worked take on the classic shirt. Jumping out at you with their bold and graphic prints, each shirt was commissioned for Farah by young artists from the UK, once again playing with the mix of urban and African influences.
Farah Vintage SS14 is an attention grabbing and playful collection that makes you want to get your legs out and your African prints on.
