Greta Pfennig x Marc Jacobs Fragrances: Untamed Beauty

Greta wears Dress & OTHER STORIES. Perfume MARC JACOBS DAISY WILD EAU SO INTENSE.

Dressed in flowing fabrics and bathed in golden light, content creator and model Greta Pfennig moves effortlessly through the sunlit fields just outside Berlin. The red in her hair glows against the green countryside, perfectly mirroring the mood of the day: playful, romantic, and free. It’s the ideal setting for her latest collaboration: Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Wild Eau so Intense. The scent is a bold yet romantic blend of banana blossom, jasmine, and warm woods, capturing the untamed spirit of nature in full bloom.

Greta’s journey began far from these idyllic fields, growing up in Hamburg where her love for art first emerged. Starting with crafting and gradually evolving into digital storytelling, she found her voice online. Her unfiltered posts, a mix of introspection and joy, have drawn a loyal following captivated by her authenticity and creativity.

Between takes, SLEEK caught up with Greta to uncover the emotions and memories tied to scent, navigate the layers of self-expression online, and share the moments she feels most beautiful.

SLEEK: What’s your absolute dream summer destination?

Greta Pfennig: I’ve been to Southeast Asia, and honestly, that was such a highlight. I’d go back in a heartbeat. But if I had to pick somewhere in Europe, I think Marseille would be amazing. It’s such a beautiful city with so much charm.

S: As a content creator and model, you navigate two industries that are often hyper-focused on appearances. When and where do you feel the most beautiful?

GP: Honestly, it’s when I’m with my friends, especially out in nature. I have this little garden plot near Hamburg, and when I’m there, nothing else seems to matter, like, you stop caring about all that surface-level stuff. It’s such a freeing feeling, just you and the moment, that’s where beauty feels the most real to me.

S: Is it easy for you to let someone else take your photo and give up control? Do you have any rituals or tricks to stay authentic in front of the camera?

GP: When I focus too much on how I look, it never feels right. Instead, I try to stay present and lean into the vibe the photographer creates. Overthinking, whether it’s angles or appearances, just doesn’t work. Letting go of beauty standards and embracing the moment makes all the difference.

S: Do you prefer being in front of the camera or behind it?

GP: Both, I love taking photos just as much as being in them. Switching things up keeps it exciting and creative for me.

S: What does beauty mean to you personally?

GP: It’s about how someone makes you feel. Inner beauty is everything. Someone might be considered beautiful by society’s standards, but if their energy is bad or they’re unkind, they just seem… ugly to me. So yeah, beauty really comes from within – cliché, but true.

S: Do you have a beauty icon who inspires you?

GP: Definitely Frida Kahlo. I was obsessed with her growing up and did so many school projects on her. Her look, her art, her use of color, everything about her was so inspiring to me.

S: Your social media career started in Rome. A year later, do you still feel connected to the city or Italy in general? How do you look back on that time?

GP: It’s less about Rome itself and more about that time in my life when everything was starting. But yeah, Rome will always have a special place in my heart. It’s where I first felt that spark of recognition, you know? It’s a magical city regardless of social media, though, anyone who goes there feels it.

S: Kiss, Marry, Kill: Italian edition—gelato, pizza, or pasta?

GP: Oh, tough one! Okay, marry gelato, Rome has the best Nutella gelato ever. Kiss pizza. And kill pasta. But, like, everything gluten-free because I can’t eat gluten anyway [laughs].

S: If the Daisy perfume were a fictional character, who would it be?

GP: It’s not a character, but the scent feels like it belongs in a Lana Del Rey song, dreamy and nostalgic. Or maybe it’s straight out of Call Me By Your Name, something about the scent just captures that romantic summer energy.

S: Which fictional character do you see yourself in the most?

GP: Thinking of a specific character is tricky. But if you asked my friends, they’d probably say I’m always late. I’d like to think they’d also say I’m loving and funny, though!

S: As a content creator, your life becomes your brand. How do you navigate that, especially when everyday moments turn into content?

GP: That’s probably the hardest part for me, finding that boundary. It helps to have friends who ground me. Many of them aren’t in social media, and they remind me there’s more to life than my next post. Sometimes I literally have to force myself to put my phone away and just be.

S: Do you ever consciously decide to keep certain experiences for yourself, or is it hard to draw that line?

GP:
It’s definitely hard, especially when your phone is always in your hand. But again, my friends keep me grounded. And studying communication design helps too, it’s like stepping into another world where I can focus on creating without my phone. I honestly don’t know how people do social media full-time without an escape like that.

S: Who or what inspires you the most in your work or style?

GP:
Recently, I’ve been thinking about Monet, his garden and the way he used color. It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs perfume, actually, so lush and a little wild.

S: Finally, what are three Greta-approved summer trends?

GP: Honestly, just do whatever makes you happy, and yeah, do it for the plot, so you have all the stories to share in the group chat later [laughs]. Wear what you love, no input from insecure people or boyfriends allowed. And definitely traveling! Girl trips are the best. I went Interrailing a few times after I finished school, and it was such a formative experience. Interrailing is a major summer IN this year, exploring Europe with your friends. I can’t recommend it enough!
