Louis Vuitton Cruise 2015 shot by Juergen Teller
Nicholas Ghesquière continued his casual sixties elegant silhouette in his second collection for the Paris house. Presented in a huge transparent box overlooking the Place du Palais in Monaco, the new language the designer has brought to Louis Vuitton continued with striking patterns, and a focus on “pseudo-paradoxical juxtapositions”: coral patterns, and models walking on digital images of water by artist Ange Leccia, the French Riviera: land and sea.
Photographer Juergen Teller has created a series inspired by these pseudo-contrasts. In these double shots, he brings these juxtapositions to life, recreating the collection’s inspirations, from cacti to rocks to delicate tropical flowers.
