Jewellery meddling with The Medley Institute

Jewellery should be like children: seen and not heard. Ok, maybe that’s just the jewellery then. That’s why we love the design philosophy of Berlin-based jewellery designer Jana Patz, otherwise known as The Medley Institute. Her pieces are succinctly challenging, unexpected but not distracting, and above all, wearable.

Traditional materials, used in new and conceptual ways, are Patz’s speciality. She is inspired by the physical properties of these materials, as is particularly clear in her SS14 collection, Edition No. VIII. Bending, twisting and folding, the rings, bracelets and necklaces in this collection are minimal, and beautifully contorted.

All pieces are made out 925 sterling silver and 18 kr gold-plated sterling silver, made in Germany.
