At only 25 years old, South African photographer Kent Andreasen is making waves on the photographic scene. Having shot for big brands such as Nike, Levi and Puma, the young photographer’s work has been featured in esteemed publications like The Guardian, FAQ Magazine and Vice.
Though his fashion photography is well-renowned, his documentary style images are also highly captivating. Taking inspiration from his South African heritage and mainly shooting close to home, Andreasen encapsulates the banality of every day living in a colourful context. His sharp eye for composition compliments the overexposed brightness in his imagery, injecting excitement into his candid shots.
Observing the mundane, Kent Andreasen is interested in the overlooked details we as humans often are too busy to notice. He aims to record the “fascinating scenarios” we subconsciously create. From his documentation of football culture in Morocco to cityscapes and landscapes, this versatile photographer’s work is definitely worth adding to your collection.
