The Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM – German for ‘Royal Porcelain Factory Berlin’) is translating its centuries-old craftsmanship into the digital realm. Five porcelain objects now carry a digital counterpart as an NFT, while other artworks are available exclusively in digital form, pointing the way to the future.
Since 1763, KPM has stood for quality craftsmanship and artistic innovation. The tradition of the royal factory shines through in every piece created by some of the most talented artisans practicing today. This craftsmanship is now complemented by the possibilities of digital transformation.
This is particularly evident in the edition of purely digital NFTs, which are offered as works of art in their own right. 260 unique digital KPM pieces are launched at a price of 260 euros each. Thus, KPM is exploring new artistic forms of expression in the digital era through NFTs.
