Levi's Reboots a Punk Rock Denim Classic

Levi's rereleases 505 jeans Debbie Harry rockin’ it in her 505s

Last year, Levi’s re-released its ever-popular 501 blue jeans and fashion crowds everywhere cheered. Suddenly it became impossible to show up at a party wearing a pair of the universally flattering denim without running into someone sporting the same exact style.  This year though, it’s all about the 505 as the brand announces its redesign of the iconic punk rock pair.

Unlike the workwear inspired 501, Levi’s 505 style features a slimmed-down silhouette and a rise that allows for just a hint of midriff. Originally released in 1967, the pair became popular among New York rock-n-rollers Debbie Harry and the Ramones. The updated version has been slightly revamped in accordance with changing times. For example, the rise has been lowered even further in order to differentiate it from their modernised 501. Available now, the newly re-released 505s are a must-have for denim heads and punk rockers alike.
