Casting call! – #CastMeMarc is back!

 
With the help of Season 6’ss RuPaul’s Drag Race star Milk, who starred in Marc Jacobs SS16 Campaign, Marc Jacobs has revealed #CastMeMarc is back and on the hunt for the hottest beauty Vloggers!

“Casting call!” says Milk. “#CastMeMarc is back! This time, we’re looking for the next Marc Jacobs beauty social media sensation – could it be you? Post a video on Instagram telling Marc what inspires you in beauty and fashion, and why he should pick you.”

This is not the first time that Marc has taken to his Instagram channel to cast his campaign stars. Back in 2014,  over 70,000 people partook in the Marc Jacobs social media movement #CastMeMarc. Only nine unusual Instagram sensations ended up in the Marc by Marc Jacobs AW14  ad campaign, shot by world renowned photographer David Sims. The campaign was such a success that the following year Marc Jacobs used the same casting method for his AW15 Campaign. Prior to this, the notion of casting models via social media was fairly uncommon and it is arguably the success of Marc Jacob’s campaign that has lead to it being a widely-used practice today in the industry for both establish fashion houses, emerging designers and major modelling agencies.
