On a broad modern street, a steep concrete staircase or in front of the tracks of a passing train – in the middle of Tokyo’s hectic city life the two street dancers Kyoka and The D SoraKi introduce us to the new collection of G-Star Raw. In focus is the relaunch of the Elwood Jeans, known for its 3D constructions such as elaborate seams and inserts since the 90s. The special thing about the new models: While the Elwood-Regular retains the original design elements from the first model ever, the Elwood Loose features a more modern and looser cut. Overall G-Star surprises us with seven new colourways and two cuts.

Meanwhile, Kyoka and The D SoraKi represent the brand’s unique spirit of creative freedom, authenticity and self-realisation. Japan itself, know for sustainable materials such as selvedge denim, serves as the perfect location. Thus, G-Star proves once again that the brand not only has a natural flair for unique talents, but also of staging and reviving itself.
