Where are you from?
I’m from Frankfurt. Why do I love this city? I have never lived anywhere else.
Is there a difference between homeland and home for you?
There is no difference to me. My home is a piece of me. And by that I don’t mean an ode to Frankfurt. I’m talking about the feeling of love. My home is loving and the understanding is so deeply established that I no longer have to explain anything.
What role does acceptance play for you?
This is really a term that I don’t have much association with. I have no sense of what to put on the term. That seems too rational to me. It has nothing to do with love or anything natural.
And being different?
I’ve really thought about what defines me and “being different”. This term isn’t in my top ten. I just didn’t experience it in a negative sense here in Frankfurt because I lived in a “multicultural” environment before the term even existed.
