Berlin Fashion Week might be criticised for not exactly embodying the creative energy that the city is known for, but you certainly wouldn’t think that after seeing Neo.Fashion 2019 — a showcase of the graduate collections from four German design schools held on Monday evening at Umspannwerk, Alexanderplatz. Students from FH Bielefeld, Haw Hamburg, HFK Bremen and HTW Berlin presented colourful, complicated and clever designs that skirted the rules in a way that actually felt truly Berlin. Galya Feierman went backstage to document the weird, wacky and wonderful looks in this exclusive series for SLEEK.
