Some campaigns are born in creative studios. Others begin with a shepherd on the Albanian coast. GOT BAG’s new brand campaign, GOATS GOT BAGS, shows how a simple coincidence can turn into a story about design, impact, and the surprising places where style appears. Sherif Gjoka lives by the Adriatic Sea with his herd of goats, some of which carry the names of his children. While looking for durable bags to help them transport goods, he searched online for “GOAT BAG” and landed on the website of GOT BAG, a German brand producing backpacks, totes and accessories from recycled plastic waste like Ocean Impact Plastic.
He placed an order and soon the herd was walking along the beach with GOT BAGs strapped around their necks. Photos reached the brand’s headquarters in Mainz and the story quickly became an outstanding 360-degree campaign including a four-minute mockumentary titled „GOAT BAG”.

In the film, Sherif’s goats showcase four of GOT BAG’s stylish handbags, including three models which feature a main material consisting of RE:NYNET®, a fabric produced from recycled fishing nets: THE MOON BAG RUFFLE shown in Hot Coral and Cobalt, with additional colors to follow, the PUFFER MOON BAG in Black, Oyster and Scallop and the CLOUD MOON BAG, which stands out with its soft, voluminous design, giving a lightweight look. First launched in collaboration with actress Klara Lange (“Die Discounter”), the PUFFER MOON BAG quickly became a favorite among influencers, and now, it has found some rather unexpected ambassadors in Sherif’s herd.
The MOON BAG SMALL features a main material consisting of RE:PET, a recycled form of PET, which is collected by GOT BAG’s partner foundation in Indonesia, among others. This model offers a more compact take and is the brand’s original product, which kick-started the bag sales.

Founded in 2018, GOT BAG has gained attention as a impactful bag brand by combining style with purpose. Their brand message, ‘From Trash to Treasure,’ reflects how they turn waste into well-designed products. Through its partner foundation in Indonesia, GOT BAG runs a clean-up program that collects plastic waste from rivers, coastal areas, and communities. What stands out, the initiative doesn’t just recycle waste but also supports local infrastructure, building long-term systems of waste management. Plastic that was at risk of polluting the oceans is reworked into durable fabrics, a transformation that gives each bag a connection to the global fight against plastic pollution.
As a B Corp™, GOT BAG is part of an international movement of companies committed to social and ecological standards. This certification reflects the brand’s ambition to do more than create products: it seeks to build systems of responsibility.

What makes them stand out is its combination of the environmental commitment with a contemporary design. The bags are sleek, minimal, and practical, that fit both: wardrobes and values. They managed to hit the cultural nerve of the moment: making responsibility desirable. It is no longer just about doing less, but about building a lifestyle where responsibility and aesthetics reinforce one another.
The campaign might make people smile, but its impact goes deeper. It shows that taking responsibility doesn’t always need a heavy tone. It can be told through stories that are unexpected, even a little absurd, without losing credibility.
