Our personal shade of Valentino

In the 1960s, Valentino Garavani built his success on collections with neutral tones, contrasting black and white, elegant cuts to emphasise women’s sensuality and of course, the famous Valentino red, a bright poppy red: the Valentino Rosso. The famous haute couture house has recently launched its own make-up collection: Valentino’s red can now sublimate all lips and all skin types.

Claiming a Couture Culture heritage, Pierpaolo Piccioli, artistic director of the Maison “V” since 2008, also wants to promote a new vision of beauty at Valentino: “The work we are doing in Valentino is guided by the values we trust in, we moved from an aesthetic built on exclusivity to an inclusive one, we grew from a two-dimensional vision of beauty to a three-dimensional one, where emotions, dreams, and individuality are as important, if not more, as any other feature. “

The emphasis is on individuality, emotions and passion: Valentino allows everyone to “Create your own beauty dream”. Each individual should be able to discover their personal shade of Valentino.

The entire range is designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, from the packaging, inspired by fashions accessories, to the products, all derived from the famous Valentino Rosso, the signature of the Maison “V”. He relied on Raoul Alejandre, an L.A. based make up artist.  “Dreamdust high impact glitter”, “dreamdust multi reflective eye glitter”, “eye shadow color flip”, “Twin Liner”, “magnificent mascara”: The entire color cosmetics line has been meticulously created by working on textures, shaders, volumes and with innovative, high-performance, refined, fool proof and high-impact products.

With its heritage, Valentino does not ignore the concerns of its time: the products are compact, fully refillable with a sustainable approach, while seeking to focus on greater inclusivity, to fit all bodies and physiques.
