Paris Fashion Week with PUMA x SLEEK

Fashion Week is always a busy time of the year. Right now, the whole fashion entourage has gathered in Paris. To kick off weeks of full schedules, Puma in collaboration with SLEEK has offered a night of coming together. Among attendees were Sandra Lambeck, Maureen Ugodi, Oluwatonilobaa, Yaya Touray, Brandan De Silva, Isaac Kyere, Dennis Kyere, Nelly Hermes, Gaius Okami, Jessika  Jäckel and Marvin Appiah Karong.

The mythical atmosphere of Lapérouse set the tone for the evening. First established in 1766, the Michelin-awarded restaurant has experienced the presence of Baudelaire and Ernest Hemingway and has now welcomed the joined community of Puma and SLEEK. After a magical dinner in one of the richly decorated lounges, the bar was heating up as was the night. London The Plugs hosted the event and a music program including Black Mamba, Skyla Tylaa and Chuck Black transformed the restaurant into a club. In the centre of it all was the Puma Mostro sneaker.

Originally launched in 1999, and named after the Italian word for “monster”, the Mostro embodies the vibes of the Sixties with its spikes and nostalgia of the Eighties with its surfing shoes look. Known for itssignature alternative Velcro closure system and non slip dimpled sole, the Mastro has mastered the art of walking the line between sport and style to become a shoe for all elements of life. With a number of colourways set to be released, this shoe is for the monsters of the world: the ones making waves, forever experimenting and always challenging the bounds of style. 

To celebrate the launch during Men’s Fashion Week, the archival Puma silhouette was captured within the walls of the Lapérouse on this Wednesday evening; the night was a symbiosis of a vibrant feeling of freedom and cherishing the surrounding’s history.
