To celebrate the launch of Ulf Haine’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection, The Store Berlin is hosting a “streamers, cocktails and make-out songs”-themed party. Amongst loads of sparkly paper decoration, the designer himself will be present.

Contemporary& Sternberg Press Book Launch Party

Contemporary&, a magazine focusing on international art from African perspectives, is celebrating the launch of its first book. Published by Sternberg Press, “I AM BUILT INSIDE YOU,” is a collection of outstanding texts from the magazine’s previous (online) issues. The 18.00 panel discussion dealing with the notion of globality within the context of different sociocultural fields will be followed by a party with music by DJ Nico Adomako.
EyeEm Magazine Launch Party

Judging from the sheer amount of publication launch events happening this weekend, print appears to be anything but dead. Photography magazine EyeEm is adding to the list with a party in celebration of its fifth issue centred around the many aspects of diversity. With free snacks and drinks, free goodie bags for the first 50 visitors, beats provided by beloved Berlin DJ SugaBoy and even more good stuff to be announced, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
 


Entrempo Kitchen Gallery Party

As a self-declared food art gallery, Entrempo Kitchen’s exhibitions explore the aesthetics as well as the political and social impact of food. On Friday, the team is hosting a performance by camp- and drag-inspired artist Godzilla Overkill followed by a party.
Spike Evening of Ambient and Spoken Word

Spike is hosting an evening of ambient and spoken word. Brussels-based producer SKY H1 will be providing the sounds, while artist and writer Patrick Quick will simultaneously be adding to the composition with his voice. The entrance is €7. Be sure to come early, as Spike’s cozy headquarter at Rosa-Luxembourg-Platz only offers a limited amount of seats.

Italian shoe manufacturer Guidi is celebrating the opening of its Art for Art’s Sake exhibition within the industrial realms of Kühlhaus Berlin. During Gallery Weekend, community centre and art gallery Village Berlin is hosting a number of talks to accompany its exhibition Instinct Edition #3: Transformation and the Masculine. Horsegirl Launch Party

Horsegirl is a publication by artists Josefin Arnell, EVBG and Natasja Loutcbko that was born out of the Mamacamp exhibition at Uqbar. It accompanies two videos in which Josefin and Natasja relive their horse-obsessed childhood on a joint trip to the stable. At the launch party, videos will be screened in loops while snacks and cocktails will be served in order to help you fight the hangover you’ll definitely be suffering from at this point of the weekend.
Kumpelnest 3000 Anniversary Party

Kumpelnest 3000 is one of west Berlin’s trashiest, loudest and most scandalous bars. On Sunday night, the brothel-turned-bar will be celebrating its thirtieth birthday. Over the years, names such as Karl Lagerfeld and Claudia Schiffer have frequented the place, so we’re excited to see who will be attending this one-of-a-kind birthday bash.
