IVY RORSCHACH
Known as Poison Ivy of The Cramps, guitarist, co-founder and songwriter of the legendary Psychobilly band, is also a goddess of punk style. Rorschach, along with husband Lux Interior, created a bondage and rockabilly-influenced aesthetic that was intrinsic to the group’s cult success. Her fondness for wearing animal print, spangled bikinis and fetish gear (she eventually became allergic to latex after wearing it too often), along with her flame-red curls makes Ivy the ultimate vamp.
ELVIRA
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is the character played by Cassandra Peterson on television and famously in the eponymously named 1988 film. The comedy horror flick recevied mixed reviews along with Peterson’s acting skills (she won a worst actress Rasberry award) but gained massive attention and style points for her ridiculously revealing dress and witty queen of macabre caricature. Elvira did the gravity-defying black beehive years before Amy Winehouse created her own incredible barnet and also claims to have dated Elvis Presley – making her total Halloween goals.

The Queen of Pin-ups is the original bad-girl. Bettie Page started modelling in the 1950’s when her jet black hair and trademark fringe (now known as Bettie Bangs) set her apart from the typical girl-next-door types. She became the first famous bondage model after making films with Irving Klaw, which at the time was highly controversial. Bettie did her own hair, make-up and often made her own outfits, many of which have become known as the archetypal pin-up uniform.
