Love is a force that truly knows no bounds, a force that brings people together, a force that inspires us to be courageous. My Queer Blackness, My Black Queerness (MQBMBQ) is exploring the many manifestations of love’s force through the international social project Musings On Love, which provides a safe space in which those in the Black Queer community can explore their identity, sexuality and relationship with love through the form of a collage.

Working in collaboration with Polaroid, the collective selected 7 Black Queer creatives and artists to be ambassadors of the project whilst the wider community were able to participate under the hashtag #MyQueerBlackLove. Celebrating the art of loving, contributors shared intimate perspectives about lovers, family, friends as well their experiences of self-love – perhaps one of the most important journeys when it comes to love. Raw and authentic, MQBMBQ is encouraging an ongoing conversation surrounding the Black Queer experience whilst “highlighting the power of visibility, acknowledging that seeing and feeling seen can unlock within us multitudes of positive potential.”
