With his striking, graffiti-inspired forms and figures, the late artist Keith Haring created instantly recognizable work. With the snap of a button, Polaroid creates (almost) instantly tangible photographs–making the iconic camera a perfect canvas on which to showcase some of Haring’s most famous designs.

Art enthusiasts and shutterbugs alike are buzzing about the exclusive collaboration between Polaroid and The Keith Haring Foundation featuring Haring’s signature work.

The specially designed Polaroid Now camera comes with a candy-apple red face and a striking black-and-white image by Haring on the viewfinder. And i-Type instant film with borders featuring the artist’s iconic cartoonish patterns offers a fun, easy way to quickly jazz up your selfie snaps.

Haring shot to fame in New York in the 1980s with his murals, paintings and marker-based creations in subways and other public places. In addition to honoring his artistic legacy, the Polaroid collaboration also offers a subtle nod to his methods: Haring loved using the camera to capture his works and himself.

“Keith Haring and Polaroid are such a perfect fit,” says Gil Vazquez, acting director of the Keith Haring Studio. “The artist and the brand are both so iconic with shared egalitarian values in really promoting self-expression and creativity for everybody. Keith took a lot of Polaroid shots himself, so there is a legacy here that we are really happy to celebrate.”

Haring was also known for his activism, promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity. He believed art should be accessible for everyone and embodied an inspiring DIY spirit–values that are shared by many users of Polaroid. Fittingly, the camera featuring his work has an affordable price point of just €139.99.
