Setting the Table with Tekla

A newly set table is metaphoric to a blank canvas, a clean slate – a new start. Waiting still for it to be set, perfectly curated, it awaits for new memories to be born.

If sharing meals and dining weren’t something to reflect on before, it is now. A crowded dinner table carries a deeper meaning and stands for memories and occasions that were missed and the celebrations we wanted but couldn’t. “The physicality of these moments is what we have all been longing for during these unprecedented times,” explains Kristoffer Juhl, Managing Director of Tekla.  Now, we look at the table with excitement, ready to turn strangers into friends, looking forward to ending a night with cleaned up plates, overturned glasses and crumpled napkins.

It’s somewhat a visual document of the evening, which is best commemorated with the right tableware. The Danish brand Tekla is celebrating the art of dining by releasing a brand – new tableware collection, ready to deck our tables, right in time for the upcoming holiday season. The new collection includes a range of Tekla classics such as tablecloths, napkins, glass towels, kitchen towels and aprons, but Hedin adds, “the aim behind our Kitchen collection goes beyond the actual products. It is about creating emotions and opportunities that bring people together.” Balancing both light and heavy linen, the table is set to be decorated with various textures to create something exciting with simple means.
