On the evening of 8th June, friends of SLEEK gathered in the space of Lynk & Co in Berlin’s Mitte District to celebrate the launch of SLEEK #73- PASSION. In the words of Christian Bracht, “creativity and passion are closely linked” and both are elements at the heart of SLEEK. In the latest issue, SLEEK invites a number of contributors from a variety of fields to offer their take on PASSION and the outcome is an inspiring, motivating collection of conversations, stories and creativity.
The night’s host, Lynk & Co, also holds PASSION close to their heart. Priding themselves on their passion for innovation, Lynk & Co offers an alternative, more sustainable model to car ownership. Through an easy and flexible subscription model, Lynk & Co is “like Airbnb, only for cars” meaning, you can have the car for as long as you need it. The automobile goes beyond cars, and their concept space expands into the creative realm through considerate interior design and co-working spaces, offering a place to meet with other creatives.
After the evening’s guests had settled in, Christian Bracht hosted a special talk with actor, author and artist Franz Dinda on the topic of PASSION. He spoke about his unique passion for the work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, an artist Dinda became interestingly interested in after buying an edition of the artist’s work at an auction. The edition was a miscellaneous page from one of the artist’s books. Since then, he has dedicated his time to searching for the remaining pages of the book in an attempt to piece the entirety of the artistic story together.
