At the end of a packed few days of Berlin Fashion Week events, SLEEK collaborated with Puma to host a dinner and SLEEK Clubnight, joined by international and Berlin-based artists, designers, and influencers. The zeitgeist in Berlin right now reflects a tendency towards unusual venues: from SF1OG’s runway at Ernst-Reuter Gymnasium to Lou de Betoly’s show at an abandoned furniture store Habitat to William Fan’s ready-to-wear showcase in the warming hall of Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Alongside these selections, Hotel Telegraphenamt was both a memorable and historical location to host the third round of SLEEK Clubnight.

Root Restaurant’s warm brickwork is built around old design elements from the Telegraphenamt’s original 1916 architecture, but remodeled with exposed steel beams and a fully glass ceiling that opens the room with a clear view of the sky over Berlin. Tables are illuminated at night by hanging paper lanterns and small palm trees ring the booths of the dining room. Later on, partygoers danced in Telegraphenamt’s industrial-modeled basement, where SLEEK curated a setlist that featured DJs Lovefoxy and Kevin Bipolar.

Lovefoxy is a Berlin-born artist who shot up in the house music scene shortly after beginning her DJ career. The young artist grew up inside of Berlin’s electronic music world after her mother opened Berlin’s first house club, and she brings this childhood love of 90s house music into her high energy performaces. Just two years into her music, Lovefoxy has already played BoilerRoom and Berghain, and she continues to hold radio residencies in Berlin and New York while starting an international tour.
This Puma x SLEEK event coincided with the release of SLEEK’s 80th issue FORTUNE, making the party a twofold celebration of Berlin’s music, art, and design culture, and building up to this summer’s season of fashion and entertainment.
