SLEEK HALLOWEEN: We Dressed To Kill

When Halloween rolls around, the usual suspects show up: pumpkins glowing on windowsills, sugar-charged trick-or-treaters, and that sweet tension between fear and fun.

However this year, SLEEK had something entirely different in mind. We wanted to transform this originally Celtic celebration into a celebration of transformation and let me tell you we went all out. Actually, no bunnies were seen. Just pure, unapologetic Halloween madness. Imagine a world where a ’90s thriller, Pulp Fiction, and Corpse Bride collide and an edgy fever dream turned into the Halloween party of 2025.

But let’s rewind for a moment. Halloween is normally all about the costume, right? And we all know the stress that this single outfit for one night can cause. To make this imaginative, important decision easier, SLEEK and Borchardt introduced the motto “DRESS TO KILL.”

No more asking: What fits the vibe? Should I go spooky? Sexy? Or Both? For once, guests could simply orient themselves around fictional characters, movie icons, or even real-life murderers. It sounds more dramatic than it was but trust me, it worked. Our guests came prepared, and damn, they showed up.

At 9 p.m., Borchardt opened its doors and welcomed everyone with drink-filled syringes. The second you entered and walked up the tall staircase to the second-floor entry, the ordinary world faded away. Something darker and more enchanted took over. Picture frames of iconic horror characters lined the walls like a miniature gallery of nightmares. A candy bar overflowing with Halloween sweets waited for anyone with a craving. Soft floor lighting wrapped everything in a warm, eerie glow.

The first two rooms worked as hangout zones where people could meet, talk, and warm up. The next space, filled with velvet sofas, created a chill-out corner perfect for sinking in for a moment. A bit further along, a pool table stood in the center of the fourth room, adding a playful twist to the atmosphere. The DJ booth divided the rooms just enough to create a natural dance floor where vampires and creatures of the night could move freely. With a wide drink selection and a soundtrack that kept the energy alive, guests drifted effortlessly between conversations, dancing, and celebrating the moment.

And yes — the costumes did not disappoint. Not a single one missed the mark. There were masked faces, terrifying zombie looks with wild pupils and corpse brides in every stage of decay. Creativity moved through the space like its own spirit, shifting and shaping the entire night.

The dedication was the true beauty of it all. This wasn’t Halloween Lite. Berlin fully committed. Full prosthetics turned friends into film monsters. Zombie makeup demanded a second look. Corpse brides glided past like characters pulled out of someone’s dream. People didn’t just wear costumes.

To put it in a nutshell, the whole night felt like a living piece of performance art. It wasn’t just dressing up — it was pure transformation. What began as a cliché American tradition evolved into a magical moment to celebrate, shift shapes, and let go.

In the end, SLEEK and Borchardt proved what truly makes a party unforgettable. It isn’t only the location, the drinks, or the music — even though all three delivered flawlessly. It’s the world you create. A world where people can step into something freer, wilder, and more imaginative. A world where creativity sets the tone. And yes, we’re already counting down to the next one.
