Givenchy has reportedly been in discussion with SLEEK’s current cover star, Off-White designer Virgil Abloh about succeeding Riccardo Tisci at the French fashion house.
Speculation as to who will take up the role comes after an announcement last week that Tisci is ending his 12-year tenure at the French house.

Virgil spoke exclusively to SLEEK about his ambition to take the helm at an established international brand, saying, “I want to take streetwear ideals and do them in a high-fashion way… like Demna.” Referencing the appointment of Vetements Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga. It appears that Abloh could easily follow suit to Gvasalia’s blueprint of multitasking between high-fashion and streetwear.
Abloh declined to comment on Givenchy specifically, however he told WWD, “My trajectory is to update and provide something new in the fashion industry by way of creating a project and using it as a case study on how to update a luxury house.” Taking up creative directorship of a leading luxury house is clearly a goal of his.
