The domestic appliance specialists at Smeg have teamed up with fashion house Dolce & Gabbana to create a limited-edition series of refrigerators that will have you humming the tune of “Il Padrino” all day long. The two brands have successfully built empires upon the concept of “Made in Italy” and the level of excellence associated with it, implementing the country’s culture and local tradition in each creation. This partnership is no different, with motifs that feature iconic Italian imagery from both the poetic marionette theatre and the Sicilian Cart. Each theme is embellished with classic floral patterns that stay true to the Mediterranean aesthetic of both companies. Limited to a run of 100, the first examples of this special collection will be presented at the 2016 Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
