Coming out of the woods, the thrill and cinematic depth of vintage science fiction movies do not only inspire graduate collections of fashion school graduates, but it also inspired Wood Wood’s latest collection of clothing. For their PS22, they decided to base their collection around a concept. Branching out of fashion, artists like Yoko Ono, Lorde or John Cage mastered the art of the concept behind creativity in their respective fields. Inspired by the unique language of the vintage films, the collection wants to reinvent the concept of alienation of “being the odd one out”. To expand on this red thread of a concept, Wood Wood has invited British artist Jack Marshall to collaborate with them.

Putting off and twisted characters on dense cotton jerseys, the artist created exclusive artworks solemnly for this collection. Merging the universes of fashion and cinema, the brand is creating a whole new universe for the clothing. Classic silhouettes meet expressive garment textures, it’s a juxtaposition of two worlds, resulting in an eclipse of creativity.
