As the weekend comes around again, the realities of lockdown and social distancing are perhaps most keenly felt. Restaurants, bars, nightclubs and wherever else we might ordinarily celebrate the advent of the weekend are closed until further notice. But that doesn’t mean that you have to sit in front of Netflix for the umpteenth evening in a row. Tonight we’ll be tuning into Dixon’s live stream via Boiler Room—his first stream of 2020. Through this hotly anticipated stream, Dixon hopes to support producers working in this difficult time.
Streaming live from London at 8pm (GMT)/10pm (CEST), the set will bridge the real with the virtual by creating a visual 3-D environment as it is broadcasted. In collaboration with his own platform Transmorderna and record label Innervisions, Dixon’s eight favourite tracks from the set will be released and available to purchase on Bandcamp, with all proceeds going directly to the tracks’ artists.
Check out the stream from 3 April here.
