UNITED24 is the fundraising platform founded by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The platform calls for donors worldwide to subscribe for a symbolic $24 monthly donation. “The number 24 is very important for Ukraine,” said Andriy Shevchenko, global football player and ambassador of UNITED 24. “This is both the date of Independence Day and the day when a full-scale war started, changing our lives. 24 hours a day, Ukraine fights for its freedom, and the whole world supports us in this fight. The project was announced by 24 ambassadors including American actor and six-time Golden Globe nominee, Liev Schreiber.
The aim of the project is for people worldwide to support the Ukrainian people in their fight against the aggressor on a regular basis with an initial goal of 24,000 subscribers. In addition, UNITED24 has collaborated with artists and designers such as Bang & Olufsen on limited edition collections via ticketed donation auctions with new upcoming announcements to be made.
Charitable subscriptions are available in the direction of Medical Aid. Regular donations will allow the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to plan purchases to support the work of Ukrainian doctors and save more lives. In more than three months, 35 ventilators, 22 X-ray C-arm machines, 83 anaesthesia machines, 9 operating tables, 5 children’s ALV devices and 57 C-type ambulances have already been acquired.
