The 10 Most Instagrammable Artworks at Frieze New York

Yesterday saw the curtains close on the seventh edition of Frieze New York. This year’s fair featured more than 190 galleries from 30 countries, attracting the usual droves of international art lovers to Randall’s Island Park in Manhattan. Blistering sunshine accompanied the vibrant display of pieces from artists around the globe, spanning world-renowned favourites and rising stars.
Instagram opportunities abounded, allowing those who were unable to attend in person a whistle-stop tour of the event’s highlights. Here we select the ones that halted us in our scrolling tracks — from a pair of sensual pink lovers by Louise Bourgeois and towering anime girls by Takashi Murakami to Robert Therrien’s giant table and chairs (a resounding Insta-fave) and Cooper Cole Gallery’s award-winning display of sculptures by Jamaican-Canadian artist Tau Lewis. Not to mention Melania Trump as you’ve never seen her before, courtesy of American feminist artist Martha Wilson. Enjoy!
