The return of Loewe’s Amazona

In honour of Loewe’s 175th birthday, the brand created a modern version of their iconic Amazona bag. Originally designed in the 1970s, the bag is now back on the market, adapted to the standards of modern life whilst maintaining a high level of leather craftsmanship.

The relaunch does not only mark the new era of one Amazona bag, but two. The Amazona square and the Amazona 28 are available in a broad range of boldly coloured nappa calfskin or with the house’s anagram symbol, woven into jacquard cotton canvas.

Historically, the bag celebrates women and their independence. In its birth year of 1975, women started to gain equality as well as independence rights in the workplace. The bag was made with them in mind- the strong women who were restless fighters, never giving up their ongoing fight for equality. The bag, named after women of Greek mythology, is made for the modern woman. Classic hooped handles, ready to handle any baggage, will bring anyone through their daily adventures.
