
Tommy Hilfiger takes us back to the Nineties for his label’s SS17 collection. The iconic logo and classic bold font is featured throughout Tommy Jeans’ latest collection – an unmistakable nod to those who were around for the brand’s emergence.
Hilfiger is cited as wanting to “blend ’90s heritage and iconic styles archives with exciting pop culture influences”. It’s no surprise then, that the campaign, shot by Bryant Eslava, features several fresh, young faces: Lucky Blue Smith, Anwar Hadid and Sofia Richie. This “new crowd” sensibility gives the campaign a youthful, almost rebellious edge.
Hilfiger remains distinctly “all-American” and makes liberal use of the classic red, white and blue colour scheme throughout the collection. The women’s collection consists of cropped tops, faded denim jackets and shorts, while the men’s collection features classic-cut jeans, windbreakers and jerseys. The campaign’s breezy LA vibe makes us want to dig up our old cutoffs and head to the closest beach.
