Begin the new year with an art shaped bang, with the Unpainted media art fair. Located in Bavaria, Unpainted will be Munich’s first-ever fair for new media art and with its specifically devoted topic, “media art / digital art”, the fair promises to leave no digital stone unturned in its quest to take fair goers from the beginning of the new digital age, all the way to present day time based art practice.

Algorithmic plotter-drawings, computer animation, collages, photography, net.art, software art, interactive art, app-art, tablet-art, game art, the fair aims to not only showcase artist and works, but also to take you on time travelling through the medium of time based art. The fair will also boast the “Lab 3.0”, a specially curated section by multimedia curator, Li Zhenhua, in which Zhenhua will invite fifteen young artists from around the globe to come and exhibit in this special project.  With artists, galleries, collectors from China to Belgium and Brazil to LA, this fair promises to be as extensive as it is informative.

In addition to the overall fair, and the Lab 3.0, Dutch media artist Rafaël Rozendaal will be hosting a BYOB event (Bring Your Own Beamer), where he will invite local artists to project their own movies and photos in a special designated area of the Postpalasts.

Unpainted media art fair runs from January 17th – 20th 2014, and for a limited time only until 31st December 2013, you can be an early bird and purchase daily tickets for €10 or multiple day tickets starting from €20.
