Travel has again become more complicated and the summer days are fleeting. But sweet escape is still possible, thanks to a clever tour-and-tasting event by Hendrick’s Gin at Berlin’s Hendricks Grand Hotel from August 19-22.
The event promises to be full of surprises, but you’re all but guaranteed plenty of laughs — as well as learning a thing or two about the process behind the Scottish gin and its various flavors, including its signature rose-and-cucumber infusion. We’re also told that a quirky Monsieur Gustave-like character will be running the affair, guiding small groups through extravagantly decorated rooms at the Grand Hotel.
Along with a goodie bag, you’ll leave with a newfound appreciation of both the gin itself and the brand behind it, William Grant & Sons, whose evocative, imaginative activations are their own form of comedic art. In other words, it promises to be a real trip, indeed.
Eager tipplers not in Berlin can still get a taste of the fun and festivities in partner bars in Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Düsseldorf — just the ticket to toast the final few days of summer.
