Rapper Young Thug is no stranger to fashion. Just last month the musician starred alongside fellow hip-hopper Frank Ocean in a global campaign for Calvin Klein. Donning a black dress by the American fashion label, Thug defied contemporary notions of gender with a tagline reading “I disobey in #mycalvins“.
This time around, the Atlanta-based artist dresses down in a series of ’70s-inspired tracksuits as the new face for Puma. Posing alongside a larger than life boombox and a chromed out cruiser, the only thing missing from this retro photo shoot is a towering hi-top. The German sportswear label appears to be on quite a roll these days, with this celebrity campaign adding to a list that already includes Rihanna and Naomi Campbell in 2016 alone.
The collaboration coincides with Young Thug’s recent announcement of a name-change, with the rapper switching his moniker to “No, My Name is Jeffery” for the next week. Take note.
