DSTM tut es wieder

Tuesday saw the opening of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin get off to a flying start, with shows running like clockwork and with the general mood being on a high despite the sub-zero temperatures outside the warmth of the tent. With such a positive start to the week, it only seemed right for there to be an equally high spirited close to the first day as dusk swept over the snow covered streets of Berlin.

Numerous parties popped up in showrooms and bars across the city, but there was one in particular that was on everyone’s to-do list, Berlin’s love child: Don’t Shoot The Messengers.
The party took place at the opening of DSTM’s new boutique, located on Zehdenicker Straße 25 (just a stone’s throw from Neue Odessa Bar…coincidence?). With its spotless stone black flooring and simple interior design, the space oozes cool and leaves room for the clothes to speak for themselves without the interruption of decoration or unnecessary clutter.
The Jameson’s flowed, the music grew louder, the storage cupboard became the designated smoking room, and the sea of black continued to pour in through the doors well into the night. DSTM has dug its nails deep into the skin of the fashion world and shows no sign of it loosening its grip anytime soon.
