“The job at SLEEK for GNTM goes to …”

Already in October, filming for SLEEK’s appearance on Germany’s Next Topmodel by Heidi Klum began. The casting took place at the SLEEK office on the 14th floor, high above the rooftops of Berlin, where the models presented themselves for the editorial job – one of the official jobs of the new season GNTM.

The 19 models first introduced themselves in a casting round. From this group, four finalists were selected to demonstrate their modeling skills in a series of acting challenges, recreating different scenes: being suddenly caught on a date by paparazzi, acting out the tension of rushing through the airport while running late and missing a job opportunity or casually walking down Kurfürstendamm before unexpectedly being spotted and photographed by paparazzi. Following the performances, SLEEK publisher Christian Bracht and creative director Claude Gerber chose their favorite. Marlene got the job and had the opportunity to shoot a fashion editorial for the upcoming print issue SLEEK #88.

The editorial was photographed at The Westin Grand Berlin whose luxurious interiors from grand staircases to elegant corridors and opulent salons provided the perfect setting for the scenes. Marlene moves through the interiors as if followed by paparazzi – captured as It-Girl in spontaneous moments: surprised while talking on a flip phone by Motorola or listening to music through the Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones by Sony Germany.
