Introducing Nam Chau

Nam Chau is a German-Vietnamese artist, dealing with concepts of memory and heritage through her paintings.
Exploring these ideas heavily in her series “My Mother’s Camp”, Chau takes influence from found imagery to highlight a situation unfamiliar to her personally. The artist makes an imaginary journey to the Vietnamese refugee camp from which her mother fled and creates blurred paintings of constructed memories from the place she has never been.
This evening, Sleek Art invites you to a talk between SLEEK’s Chairman Christian Bracht and the influential artist, Nam Chau. The discussion will take place on the 1st floor of the Waldorf Astoria, Berlin at 7 pm. In celebration of the event, there will be a special deal where all of Chau’s artworks will be priced at €1000.00.
