One of the first this year. And just like that, everything doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Actually, quite the opposite. Tulips are in bloom, moving softly in the wind, and the birds we missed all winter are finally back. Higashi stands in front of the camera, smiling, relaxed, completely herself, while the light catches the necklace around her neck. Two hearts hanging from a fine, timeless silver chain. If you look closely, you can even spot her daughters’ names engraved on it. It’s her favorite piece she’s wearing right now besides the gold-plated Mom Ring on her finger. A delicate imprint of an essential part of her life. Higashi is not just anyone. And more importantly, she is not just one thing. No, she is many things at once: a businesswoman. A model. An author. A cook. A modern woman who is present in her own story. And a loving mother of six.

While she poses in looks that feel like a natural extension of who she is – sculptural silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and fluid fabrics – we get the chance to talk to her about how she balances everything in everyday life. We chat about Mother’s Day coming up and about all the thoughts that tend to circle around this time every year. You know, what is the perfect gift? What makes a good mother? How do you nurture your own personality while being a good mother? What do you do on days that feel overwhelming? The answers aren’t always easy. Motherhood is complex, in the best possible way. And beautifully individual.

Mai, wird Higashi ihr Buch veröffentlichen Mutterschaft Kindheit in Japan, sharing her story from her own perspective. When we ask her what the secret is to doing a good job as a mother, she plays with the Mom Ring on her hand, laughs, and says, “Just do it!”. Simple as that. We also talk about what gives her strength, especially on those days that are particularly overwhelming. Her answer: self-care. The small, everyday pleasures. A good scent in the air. Jewelry that feels personal. And, of course, good food.

Looking at the heart-shaped necklace around her neck, the Engravable Openable Heart Tag Pendant, the Gold-plated Mom Charm, and the Butterfly Link Bracelet lying on the table, one thing becomes pretty clear. The perfect Mother’s Day gift is something personal. Something that means something. Something as timeless as the perfect jewelry. For a woman who is so much more than just a mom.
